Jagoda Tłok is a Polish writer and director based in Glasgow.

She graduated from Screen Academy Scotland’s BA Film with a short Care, which screened at multiple BAFTA and BIFA qualifying festivals, including Edinburgh International Film Festival, Bolton International Film Festival and Leeds International Film Festival, where it received a Special Mention in British Shorts Competition.

Her other work includes You Will Never Walk Alone, a short documentary about the abortion ban in Poland, which was selected to screen at the New Visions strand in 2021 EIFF.

​

She’s a part of 2023/24 Little Picture’s filmmaking cohort, supported by GMAC and Screen Scotland, with whom she is developing her first commissioned short, Code of Conduct.

​

Jagoda also enjoys working with musicians, creating story-driven, cinematic music videos. Her recent work includes Choir Song with Glaswegian band Her Picture.

In her work she focuses on stories of women, and especially their acts of rebellion and survival in various oppressive systems.

​

Alongside filmmaking, she has also been involved with the film festival scene. She is one of the founders and the producer of the ShortScape Film Festival and worked for various film festivals including EIFF and IYAFF Ale Kino!.
